Martinsville MCM Dresser / Credenza

This American of Martinsville mid-century modern credenza has been fully restored and customized to highlight its architectural design and refined craftsmanship. Decorative bowtie inlays across the top and sculpted louvered drawer fronts showcase the piece’s strong geometric character while remaining true to its original mid-century form.

The credenza was completely sanded to bare wood, with veneer corrected where needed, then finished in a rich Early American stain and sealed in a high-gloss lacquer for depth, durability, and a polished presence. The revived wood grain is warm, consistent, and beautifully balanced across the surface.

New brass legs were added to elevate the stance and bring a lighter, more contemporary feel, while the original brass hardware has been carefully polished and preserved. All drawers have been conditioned inside and out and glide smoothly, reinforcing the solid, well-built construction. Thoughtfully restored and visually striking, this versatile piece works beautifully as a dresser, credenza, or media console and stands as a timeless example of American mid-century craftsmanship.
