Merton Gershun MCM dresser

This American of Martinsville mid-century modern dresser, designed by Merton Gershun, has been fully refinished to highlight its timeless walnut grain and sculptural form. The piece features seven drawers with a distinctive asymmetrical layout, accented by unique brass handles that were carefully polished to restore their original character. The signature rail detail and tapered legs give the piece its classic MCM silhouette while keeping it light and elevated.

The dresser was fully sanded, veneer was corrected where needed, and the entire piece was stained and lacquered in a smooth satin finish for durability and a soft, refined sheen. Solid, well-constructed, and thoughtfully restored, this piece works beautifully as a dresser or credenza and is a standout example of American mid-century craftsmanship.
